Carload Express, the leading short-line railroad company serving Pennsylvania and Ohio, needed a robust and modular solution to establish their web presence in a big way.

We began with identity, creating a logo to act as the cornerstone of this stylish website and brand the company as a whole. The site plays off this powerful mark as it gives itself over to the content, displaying all the information you need to know about Carload Express in a readable, elegant manner with a strong focus on type and form.

The definite highlight of the site can be found under the “railroads” tab in the main navigation. We built three custom interactive Flash maps to illustrate just where these lines go and what they do. These are printable, in case you need the information to go! This is a perfect example of Flash at its best, maintaining the subtle design elements of the site while establishing another tier of enhanced functionality for the user. See for yourself!
